In a twist of fate, Cliff tricks Pam into revealing Ewing Oil’s intended acquisition, passing this confidential information to Jeremy Wendell. Despite gaining an upper hand, Cliff finds himself wrestling with guilt, a struggle that leads him to the bottom of a liquor bottle.
While the rest of the Ewing family struggles with their own dilemmas, Clayton continues his frustrating and so far fruitless quest for Wes. His journey, though solitary, serves as a sobering reminder of the broader world outside the Ewing sphere.
